What is 502 Bad Gateway?

502 Bad Gateway is an error message a user receives when Kraken's servers are experiencing errors. According to the HTTP Specification, 502 Bad Gateway is

What causes a 502 Bad Gateway error?

502 error messages are different than other error messages you might see

| 404 | The web page is not found

| 500 | The server had an internal server error, usually reserved for the bad stuff

| 502 | Bad gateway. The network had a hiccup and cannot route your request.
